Working at the RCB
The Research Center Borstel, Leibniz Lung Center has a modern center culture in which the compatibility of work and family, sustainable developments and good scientific practice are anchored: The FZB operates a campus daycare center, has a flexible working hours and home office policy and actively promotes diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace.
The FZB is committed to promoting young scientists and non-scientists in line with the career guidelines of the Leibniz Association and is an important and multi-award-winning training company in the Segeberg district for training to become a biology laboratory technician. The Borstel Biomedical Research School (BBRS) also offers a comprehensive and structured training program for doctoral students.
The school laboratory at the Borstel Research Center was founded in 2002 to counteract the lack of qualified young scientists. The aim of this concept is to introduce pupils in grades 9 to 13 to science and research in a practical way and to get them interested in these subjects.
