A course for clinicians, public health officers, medical practitioners and scientists

This year, the DZIF course „Clinical Tuberculosis“ will take place from June 24th to 26th at the Research Center Borstel, Leibniz Lung Center, in Borstel, Germany.

This course provides a comprehensive update on the clinical management of tuberculosis, alongside the latest advances in cutting-edge research. The program is focused for clinicians and public health officers but will also be informative for scientist. It covers key topics including current trends in epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis in both adults and children. Highlights include hot-topic sessions on tuberculosis and migration, antibiotic stewardship, and interactive, on-stage case presentations designed to encourage active discussion and practical learning.

The course faculty comprises some of the leading international experts in the field of clinical tuberculosis.

The 2026 Visiting Professor in Tuberculosis is Professor Tony Hu from the School of Biomedical Engineering

Tsinghua University, China, a world-leading expert on innovative diagnosis of tuberculosis. In addition to a keynote lecture Professor Hu will conduct a satellite symposium on “New tools for the diagnosis of tuberculosis” with a limited number of interested fellows.

The DZIF Course on Clinical Tuberculosis 2026 in Borstel is excellently suited for a comprehensive update on the practical management of tuberculosis, for cross-disciplinary exchange and networking.
