Poster prize for a scientist from Borstel
At this year’s annual conference of the German Centre for Lung Research (DZL), which took place in Wiesbaden from 9 to 11 June, Tim Hasenbein from the “Biomolecular Data Science in Pneumology” research group won a poster prize in the “Artificial Intelligence & Digital Tools” category.
In his poster, entitled “Haplofun: Interactive genetic haplotype analysis with integrated functional annotation”, Tim Hasenbein demonstrated how the web-based bioinformatics tool Haplofun has been successfully used in research into asthma risk genes as well as in the detection of antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
